The empty nest comes quickly.  Do not squander your most precious privilege of participating in the lives of your children

PARENTS

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT PHLC

IS CLOSED FOR THE 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY ON

MONDAY & TUESDAY,

JULY 3RD & 4TH, these are paid holidays for the center.

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE PARENTS THAT DONATED ITEMS TO MAKE OUR NATURE CENTER AMAZING.  Please make sure to check out the progress we have made this past week.  The summer camp students have been hard at work.

The parking lot is very busy with all the summer camp parents coming in everyday now.  Please walk with your students hand when walking to and from your cars.  We have lots of vehicles and we want to make sure everyone is safe.

Please check your students web page for water plays days for their classroom.

We have begun enrolling for the fall semester.  Please email Stacy if your child/ren will be in our before/after school program for next school year.  Please email the school they are attending and if they are going to be with us next fall.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW SO THAT YOU WILL KNOW OUR PROCEDURES IN CASE OF STORMY WEATHER.

Parents, just a friendly reminder that if the sirens are going off during the storms that we will be experiencing in the next few months, if you are on PHLC premises, we will need for you to be down in the basement with us.  We will not allow any student to leave while the sirens are going off and they will need to stay in the basement until we are given the all clear.  This usually takes approx. ten minutes.  Please understand that safety is always our top priority.  This does include being in the parking lot.  We have lots of responsibilities and we really need our parents to please follow these safety precautions necessary for all of us to be safe.

PHLC has worked really hard to make sure our facility and the grounds are looking at its best.  Parents please make sure that you and your children to not walk through the center island, or in the rocks in front of the school building.  We are trying to keep everything looking nice and its very important that you walk around the center island in the middle of the parking lot.

Per Policy of PHLC we ask that you do not put Birthday Invitations in the students cubbies, lockers, folders or pass them out in the parking lot.   This is a policy we have for several reasons. It is very expensive for parents to have to invite every one in the class, it also is very expensive for some to go to so many parties. The main reason is because if you don't invite every one in the class, students talk and the ones not invited get their feelings hurt. We understand that kids want to have parties, but we ask that you follow our policies. This is also teaching the kids to follow some of the same policies at public school. Please if you have any questions contact me.

A NEW POLICY HAS BEEN PUT INTO PLACE AT THE FACILITY.  PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD(REN) TO WEAR THE LIGHT UP SHOES TO THE CENTER.  THEY HAVE REALLY BECOME A HUGE ISSUE DURING NAP TIME AND IT IS REALLY BECOMING A DISTRACTION FOR MANY. WE UNDERSTAND THEY LOVE THESE SHOES, BUT WE ARE REALLY HAVING TROUBLE WITH THEM PLAYING WITH THEM AT NAP AND KEEPING OUR FRIENDS AWAKE.  WE HAVE TO HAVE THEIR SHOES ON THEM DURING NAP FOR SAFETY AND EVACUATION PURPOSES, BUT MANY OF THEM ARE PLAYING AROUND AND KEEPING FRIENDS AWAKE.  WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE NOT LET THEM WEAR THEM TO THE CENTER.  THIS POLICY WENT INTO AFFECT ON OCTOBER 31, 2016
